Alana fell in love with dance at the age of 7 and has been involved in the dance industry ever since. Growing up in rural Alberta, she was fortunate to have found a dance community that helped shape her into the dancer and person she is today. She’s a versatile dancer, training in Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Ballet, however, Jazz and Contemporary hold a special place in her heart. For 10 years, Alana has educated dancers of all levels and ages at various studios throughout Alberta, BC, and Ontario. She is certified through Acrobatic Arts and is a Licentiate Member in Jazz through the CDTA. Her choreography has received many awards and recognitions over the years, and she takes pride in her age-appropriate costuming, music selection and training. She is a life-long student, attending classes, conventions and courses whenever possible.
Currently, Alana attends Medicine Hat College via online learning, working towards her Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Diploma. One of her proudest achievements includes working with an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and Speech Pathologist in a program providing dance to kids with various disabilities. This has inspired Alana to find various ways to incorporate dance into any lifestyle and ability. Alana’s passion for dance and teaching radiates in her classes, inspiring her students to not only reach their goals but exceed them. She brings high-energy, silliness and organization to her classes and she is looking forward to being back in the studio!
